We use our in-depth understanding of engineering and many years of experience in design to create top-quality kitchens as individual as the people who will be using them. And, because we understand the value of customer service, we endeavour to deliver and install our standout kitchens with the minimum of stress for our clients.
Our founder, Chris Spink, has been working in the kitchen design industry since 2004. He originally studied engineering at university, where he developed his passion for kitchen design.
His rare mix of technical and manufacturing knowledge, allied to his eye for detail, means he’s fantastically placed to understand every aspect of a kitchen design project and its seamless management. We believe that Chris’s unique skill set is at the heart of what makes a Hush Kitchen stand out from the crowd.
Chris is still very much hands-on across the whole business – whether he’s welcoming customers to our showroom, designing them a bespoke kitchen or overseeing the manufacturing process.

Each cabinet, of every style and dimension, is made to order in our Cotswolds workshop. We use computer-guided tools to cut with micron-level accuracy, so every line is precise, every joint fits perfectly and nothing is left to chance or waste.
Then we finish by hand: sanding, shaping and smoothing each surface, bringing warmth, character and a personal touch to every detail.
We believe kitchens should last both in style and substance.
That’s why we design with durability in mind, using materials that are timeless, wear well and age beautifully.
That thinking extends to how we manufacture too: our CNC optimises every cut, reducing waste and making the most of every single piece of timber.

Before we get started on your designs, we first like to get to know you and your unique story. After all, you’re the one who’ll be using your kitchen, so it needs to be engineered around you and your needs.
We do this by asking lots of questions… What does your project involve? Is it a new house, a refurb or an extension? What’s your style preference? Traditional kitchen? Modern kitchen? When do you want your installation? How are you going to use your space? For entertaining? Or for your young family? What’s important to you?
Once we have your answers, we’re ready to start designing.
We understand how frustrating it can be when costs feel opaque or unpredictable. That’s why we’re clear from the start about what things cost, what’s included and how to make the most of your budget.
An average kitchen project costs from £30,000 (including worktops and appliances)and, depending on size, materials and complexity some cost less; some more. We offer a free consultation and presentation if you bring your floor plan and ideas to us in the showroom.
Alternatively, for a flat fee of £350, we offer a home consultation anywhere in the UK if you need us to take exact measurements. This is fully reimbursed when you decide to go ahead with a Hush kitchen.
Your time won’t be wasted with vague estimates or pushed toward decisions that don’t feel right. Instead, we’ll guide you through the process with detailed breakdowns and a shared understanding of what matters most to you.

We’re a big enough company to be capable, yet still small enough to care about what we make. We’re proud to offer a choice between traditional shaker kitchen and contemporary scandi kitchen. And we blend traditional hand craftsmanship with precise, state-of-the-art manufacturing to create perfect handmade kitchens for our customers.
We employ an array of talented cabinet makers and finishers in our Cotswold workshop, which is nestled in Nailsworth in the Stroud Valley. The team take a huge amount of pride in the work they do and use their many years of experience to produce work of the highest quality.
At Hush Kitchens, we’re a company with sustainability at our heart. So, it’s in our nature to act responsibly wherever we can. It’s why we design practical hardwearing kitchens that will outlast high street kitchens many times over. It’s why we use our timber offcuts to heat our workshop.
And it’s why we take extra special care when we’re choosing the materials we work with, such as very low formaldehyde MDF.
As such, we only work with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accredited materials. So, we know the wood we use has been sourced from well-managed forests – in fact, you can trace our wood right back to the tree it came from.

At Hush, we guide you through each stage with clarity, care and a genuine understanding of what matters to you.
Your journey begins with a conversation, ideally at our showroom in Cirencester. We’ll talk through your project, your aspirations, your space and how you live day to day.
Whether you’re building a house from scratch or refurbishing, we want to understand what’s important to you and your lifestyle: how you cook, entertain, move through the space and basically what you need your kitchen to do.
Bring a floorplan if you have one (a rough sketch is great), and any reference photos, magazine clippings or ideas you’ve gathered. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s absolutely fine too. We’ll help shape the brief together.
If you’d prefer us to visit your home to take exact measurements and discuss the project in person, we offer a site visit service for £350 anywhere in the UK. This includes additional design time and is fully reimbursed if you go ahead with a Hush kitchen.
Within one to two weeks, we’ll invite you back to the showroom to present your design. This presentation is free of charge and includes a full set of drawings, 3D visuals and a provisional quote. We’ll walk you through the layout, explain the thinking behind each decision, and explore any alternative options we’ve considered. It’s a collaborative session and we’ll always make live adjustments if needed.
We’ll have samples and materials to hand so you can see and feel the finishes, compare options, and make confident decisions in person.
Whether it’s changing a cabinet colour, rethinking a layout detail or adding a feature you’ve just thought of, we’ll work with you in real time to refine the design, so it feels right for your space and your lifestyle.
For larger projects involving multiple rooms (e.g. kitchen, utility, boot room, wardrobes), we may charge a £500 design fee, which is also reimbursed if you proceed with a Hush order. This helps us manage time fairly and ensures we can give each space the attention it deserves.
Once you’re happy to move forward, placing your order secures your manufacturing slot. You don’t need to have every detail finalised; this step simply confirms your commitment. At this stage we ask for a deposit, typically 10–25% depending on your project timeline.
We’ll fix your cabinetry price file at this point, so even if material costs rise, your quoted prices won’t. You can still make changes to the design, layout or finishes after placing your order.
Once you’re happy in principle, you’ll place your order with us to secure your manufacturing slot. Don’t worry, we can continue to refine the design and specification in preparation for sign off.
Around 10–12 weeks before installation, we’ll meet again in the showroom to go through the final design. You’ll review every element: cabinetry, colours, handles, appliances, worktops and sign off with confidence that it’s as you wanted. This meeting usually takes about an hour, but we’ll take as long as you need. It’s the final opportunity to make changes before manufacturing begins.
Your kitchen is built to order in our Cotswold workshop. Chris personally oversees the transition from design to production, ensuring every detail is communicated clearly to our cabinet makers and finishers. You’re welcome to visit the workshop at any point to see your kitchen being made.
We offer a dry-fit installation service (meaning all cabinetry and hardware, but not plumbing, electrics or building work). Our team will liaise with you, your architect, your builder or tradespeople to ensure everything runs smoothly. Chris remains closely involved throughout, checking on the project daily and resolving any issues before they reach you.
